Selena 214 — 10th Anniversary Celebration

To honor the Queen of Tejano, Selena Quintanilla, the City of Dallas hosted Selena 214, a 4-day cultural celebration marking the event’s 10th anniversary. The festival featured live music, art installations, film screenings, vendor markets, and interactive community experiences.

As Creative Director, I developed and executed the full visual identity of the event across digital and print platforms. I also led the coordination of community craft stations and directed the design and implementation of a large-scale public mural. Managing a multidisciplinary team of ten, I ensured a cohesive creative vision and seamless production. The result was a vibrant and emotional celebration of Selena’s legacy that brought together over 2,500 attendees in a shared cultural experience.

As Creative Director, I steered the production team through the visual storytelling of 214Selena. From crafting shot lists that captured the spirit of the event to connecting powerful interviews and guiding the team through an unforgettable event recap—we brought the essence of Selena’s legacy to life, frame by frame.

Flyer Designs

For the Selena 214 event, I led the visual direction in close collaboration with the marketing team, ensuring every design element—from promotional assets to sponsor packages—reflected a unified aesthetic. Drawing from curated mood boards, I developed a cohesive visual language that honored the event’s cultural significance while supporting its promotional goals across all touchpoints.

Promotion

I collaborated with illustrators to design a paper doll activity to promote the 214 Selena market. I also created the Bingo cards for day-of activities throughout the 4-day celebration.
